I share reviews on movies, books, and tributes to those who make the classics great with those who can’t get enough of the golden era of film.

I cannot deny the tremendous impact classic movies have had on me – through the stories they tell and the artists that made them – and I’m here to continue sharing their stories with you.

These stories came to life through the work of a remarkable stable of craftsmen and craftswomen, making these films, in my opinion, a true work of art.

On my blog, you’ll also find information on the beautiful artistry of classic movies – the costumes, sets, cinematography, and music.

I am fascinated by these aspects of film and highlight them and their creators whenever I can.

Where I’ve come from…

My love for classic movies began by going over the rainbow with The Wizard of Oz (1939) at age one. (My mom, a huge fan of the classics, started me early and pretty much sealed my fate!)

TCM viewings and regular trips to the library in search of movies and books about them were a highlight of growing up, fueling my fascination for the Golden era of film.

…And where I’m going…

I started this blog to share my passion for classic movies and to connect with those who have also fallen under their irresistible spell.

When I’m not engaged in blogging activities, you’ll find me playing the piano, spending time with my loved ones, and “drinking the wild air.”
